Description of Project:

The Grove Place Bee Keeping Project is about the training of apiary farmers, production and marketing of honey and other beneficial by products that will yield economic benefits for the community. The Community of Grove Place has been identified as a locality for beekeeping and as such bee keeping is seen as a local economic development activity that can reduce the high unemployment and will further market the community of Grove Place.

Aim of the project

We aim to continue to network with other bee farmers within our local to share and implement other ideas.
  1. Expansion of our colony of bees
  2. Continue production of Honey
  3. Continue marketing and selling of honey
  4. Employment of community members

Objectives

  1. To increase on the Apery sight with the additional twenty (20) colonies as to increases honey production.
  2. To complete the Extractor Room so as to properly extract honey and provide storage for both equipment and honey.
  3. Continue marketing and selling of honey
  4. To provide employment for residents
