SDC National T/20 Community Cricket Gets St. Thomas Communities in a Frenzy

 

The first Social Development Commission’s (SDC’s) National Community Twenty20 Cricket Competition featured match in the parish phase was played on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Factory Oval, Springfield, St. Thomas. The matchup took place in a rally format that saw Johnson Mountain going up against Strike Force in the match of the day followed by defending champion for the St. Thomas parish phase Heartease facing Whitehorses.

Johnson Mountain winning the Toss sent Strike-force into bat. Strike Force all out for 109 runs in 19.5 overs. Top scoring for Strike Force team was Chevon Simpson with 35 runs, Rushawn Riley and Kevar Hamilton both scoring 13 runs. This against the bowling of Xavier Scott who picked up 3 for 6 runs along with 2 wickets each for Yahfi Gould and Jevaughn Shaw.
