Over seven years with the Social Development Commission and Cynthia Williams, owner of Cindy’s Crochet Fashions, is grateful for the continued support that her business has been receiving.
Dubbed her “bread and butter,” Cindy’s Crochet Fashions focuses on designing and creating sandals for women. These sandals are of varying colours and designs, with customers having the option of choosing their preferred colour from a colour chart made available by the company.

Cindy’s Crochet Fashions caters to a growing market of people looking for unique, affordable sandals made in Jamaica.
Ms. Williams says through the SDC, the company has benefited from marketing, networking and sales opportunities through participation in the SDC Business Fairs and other partnership exposition activities. Cindy’s Crochet Fashions have also benefited from capacity-building sessions in Marketing and packaging and social media business plan development.
“This business plan has helped me to acquire a card machine from Sagicor Bank. It has also helped me secure a loan from a financial institution, which will help me finance my business to meet the growing demand,” she noted.
Ms. Williams noted that her client base spreads across the island. The price for the sandals ranges from $2,500 to $6,000.

“If there is a problem with any of the sandals when customers purchase, I repair it free of cost. You don’t have to pay for the repair and I deliver free of cost also,” she shared.
