St Mary will have new representation in this year’s Social Development Commission (SDC) Cal’s sponsored National Community T20 competition as Highgate got the better of 2019 SDC champions Gayle by 17 runs in the parish final, played at Boscobel on Sunday.
Highgate put up a decent total by scoring 169 for nine in their allotted 20 overs, with Antony McLean top scoring with 77 against five wickets for 39 runs from four overs from Jermaine Chisholm and three wickets for 33 runs from Sheldon Pryce.
Renar Ross was in sparkling form with the ball for Highgate, as he bagged four wickets for eight runs from four overs to restrict Gayle to 152 for seven in 20 overs, despite 40 from Ellando Robinson. Click here to read Jamaica Star Report
